Fake Zoo....

Here is another post that is WELL overdue.  A while ago some girlfriends of mine introduced me to the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary (which I now call the fake zoo).  It is SUPER close to my house and quite affordable!  It was really fun and I very much preferred it to the real LV Zoo (which is so so sad).  Here are some cute pictures of our play date!
These goats escaped from the petting zoo pin (a common occurrence I gathered) and Taj was making the "ohhhhhhhhh your in troooooouble" face.
So those goats are not shy!!!  You have to be a little bit brave to enter the pin, which luckily I am (but just a little)!  I have my friend Amy's son Thomas in my arms.  He and I preferred to stay a level above the feeding frenzy, however Taj could have cared less.  He just liked to slam the pin gate over and over again.  He didn't have any food so the goats could have cared less about him as well!
Can't you just read Thomas' face like a book in this photo? "I am having fun.  I am having fun? Am I having fun?"  Its cut out of the pic but Taj is slamming the gate.  By the way, there are two gates...he was not the reason for the breakout goats (at least I don't think he was)
Hello handsome!
These are my friends, Holly and Amy!  Holly has 3 darling boys too and I somehow didn't get any pictures!! What the?
I really really dig this little kid!
Just happy to be here!
So in the first pic I was like "hey alright fun!"  then by the second you can see my "am I having fun?" face too.  Remember...just a little brave.
Alright and this is Clara, Amy's little girl!  She and I also get a long like two peas in a pod!  Don't you love her pants?!?  Her mother is a snazzy seamstress! :)
Thanks for the play date ladies!   We should do it again soon!

Way cute post. Any yes, Clara LOVES you. When Steve and I speak your name it is always with a hint of jealousy because we know she likes you better than us.

I've learned that little Tommy Rhoades (sp?) is Elder Teh's sister's nephew. Think about it: Tommy Rhoades' aunt is Elder Teh's sister. Fun!

that was a lot of fun! You girls crack me up, and the fake zoo was way better than Vegas' real zoo. We need to hang out again.

Love it! We want to go to the fake zoo :) The picture of you reminds me of when I was in Japan feeding the deer. I'll scan a copy for you -- it will make you laugh. Your posts are the best -- keep it up dear friend!

I won't lie. You are braver than I. If a goat jumped up on me and tried to eat something out of my hands, I would have hightailed it out of that fake zoo.

Glad to hear from you. It is amazing how little Camille has changed people. I have quite a few friends who now frequent that site to remind us all to be better. My aunt just died of lukemia and it has been really difficult. I was talking to her daughter yesterday about the "improper" things people say. How inspired that Stephanie would write that blog the same day! Glad to know your blog address and now I will be checking it weekly.
