Ari makes the world go round

Florida - December 2010

Ari and I recently visited FL for 6 days.
Without a second thought, Ari was happy to snuggle Grandpa John in his comfy chair.
My mom always has the coolest Christmas decorations.  This big one is called a Christmas tree.
This picture was literally taken minutes after the other picture above.  Grandpa John tends to drift in and out of consciousness when he is in his comfy chair.  Ari didn't mind his state of consciousness.
Dora never looked so good (than on Grandpa's big HD TV)
As part of Ari's visit to FL she got to go to my favorite surf shop
Ari: "Santa please bring me this little surfboard!  The blue matches my eyes."
Typical flat FL waves at 2nd Light.
 I like FL...
 Really like it...
My mom and sister like it too.
 Hangy mossy branches
 Ari meets a horseshoe crab
Banana River, Patrick AFB survival area
No fun if you accidentally step on this little fellow
I think his tummy is ticklish
Cathy loves these herons.  She calls them Dr. Seuss birds.
 Golden palms
 Sunset over the Banana River
I was trying to channel my brother-in-law Tim with this photo.  He likes bugs.
 :)
My dad has very animated expressions (depending on the conversation).  I think this conversation had to do with messy diapers or something.  Yes, Ari is trying to eat that napkin.
I got to baptize and confirm my brother Dave.  They only had one adult sized baptismal jump suit so I had to wear this medium sized one.  It fit like a glove (one of those medical latex ones).
We were all stoked for Dave.
Dave and his wife Natalia and their kids.
 Ari with her disguise glasses.
Ari got to meet her great grandpa Bob and his girlfriend Lois.
Whenever I think of my Grandpa this is the image that pops in my head :) Legs crossed, sitting back with a beverage in his hand.  Grandpa is cool.
My newest nephew Daniel.  He is only 2 months old.  Tons of jet black hair.
 Dave playing some organ.
Merry Christmas!
 Ari and Ethan.
My friends Bonnie and Kris Sousa and their kids.
About to go down the elevator at Ron Jon's surf shop.
 I like Ari's metallic reflection.
 Ari practicing to get barreled.
Ari: I really like this place.

Ice Blocking

What other incredibly fun (and surprisingly affordable) activities did you do this holiday weekend, you ask? Ice blocking of course!
Hailey has impeccable technique
Taj had trouble ice blocking himself but was more than happy chasing his cousins as they slid down.
This photo looks like we are trying to run over Becca and she is trying to escape
Wait for me guys!
You can see the focus and concentration on her face.
That sidewalk was kind of an abrupt way to stop, but it also made things a little more fun
Lost focus
Taj's best effort to push the ice block back up the hill.
Taj's last resort...using his head.
Great idea...ice block surfing...the act itself still has some kinks to work out.
Fearless ice block warriors
Taj with the best seat in the house (even though the setting is outdoors)
Setting up the ice block train
Abdominal ice blocking
One advantage to this technique are the four appendages which can be used for balance and braking.
Ava looks like she is holding on pretty tight :)
Fun for the whole family
What a beautiful family!
Sweet
Adorably silly
