Kung Fu Living Room

Tonight while we were waiting for Trick or Treaters to start a knockin' we got our living room Kung Fu rockin'
No real explanation behind these photos.  We were just bored and decided to take some fun photos.
Our friends Josh and Chelsea were over and joined in on the fun.  I really like Josh's popeye the sailor mouth in this photo :)
 Taj was having a blast
I am so proud of Cathy's sweet Kung Fu skills.  Beautiful...and deadly :)
Even Ari wanted to show off her Karate
Taj's double fists of fury (I love Ari's expression)
Do you think anybody wants a roundhouse kick to the face wearing THESE bad boys?!  Forget about it!
It looks like Josh is standing on the arm of the couch but he is really in the air.
The really fun part about these photos is that all the adult pictures are us jumping from the ground (not the couches).
In case I am being attacked on both sides I can do a splits kick
 Inverted splits kick
Josh focused his Kung Fu so intensely he began to levitate
Looks like Taj is about to nail Mr. Kung Fu levitator with a pillow :)

Halloween 2010

 My beautiful lady and kids
Taj was super stoked to be his hero Thomas the Train and Ari was a cute cuddly pink bunny
Taj was stoked to have candy and run around with his friends.  Ari had a dazed look much of the time not really understanding what the big deal was.
Ari ran around with this balloon tied to her bunny ear.  It reminded me of the Jaws movie where Jaws was dragging the buoy around.
Grandma Gail helping keep track of our little bunny.
I shaved my head this to be Dr. Phil.  Cathy loved the look.

Munchkin candids

When we were up at Calico Basin the other day with the cousins we ran into our friend Amy Rhodes and she snapped these photos for us.  A bunch of them turned out great.  Thanks Amy :)

Cousin Adventures

I didn't realize how long Ari's hair was getting
Taj snapped this picture of us up at Calico Basin.
My sister Barb and her family came to visit on their way to and from California.
 Cave monsters
Ari loved playing with all her pretty girl cousins

Barb and Tim sharing some of their culinary talents with us.  Tim loves to try new recipe's from our friend Hannah's cooking blog.
My sister also talked me into doing the Pumpkinman Sprint Triathlon
Taj came out to cheer me on
 This was Barb's second triathlon
The 1/2 mile swim went well.  I had heard that it can be pretty gnarly in the swim pack with people swimming right over you and stuff but it wasn't too bad.
It surprised me how nice and encouraging all the people racing were
It also surprised me to see multiple women in their 60's passing me on their bike/run.  Everyone has their age written with marker on the back of their calf.
I even saw a 13 yr old boy ahead of me on the run
Here is Barb trying to show off how she could change out of her wetsuit and transition to bike with her eyes closed.
Barb finished in 2 hrs and 3 mins and I finished in 2 hrs and 15 mins.  The fastest time for the whole race 1 hr and 11 mins.
Overall it was a lot of fun and I would like to do it again next year

Cargo Kids

After our last trip using the Thule box I let the kids play in it before taking it off.
They looked like they were having such a fun time I asked them if they would like to ride up there with the box closed on our next trip.
Taj was game but Ari preferred to just stick with the trusty car-seat.
