Lots of Pics of Our Memorial Weekend

Okay so here are a bunch of pictures.  Do you like how I explained that to you as though you didn't just figure that out for yourself?  Well, I am short on time so this post is a lot of pics with a little explanation.     Mark grew up in Florida with Beth.  She and her hubby, Cody and son, Morgan all live in NYC right now, but there were here in Utah visiting the in-laws for a week.  We took advantage of the long weekend and went to play with them and my sister and her family in St. George.  Cody's parents live in Virgin, Utah (if you are not from around Utah or a Mormon and haven't heard that name yet I'm sure you are throughly enjoying it...as you should!)  It is basically a very small town located right at the gateway into Zion National Park.   It is amazing.  It was such a relaxing day, beautiful weather and amazing surrondings.  I really loved it.  We love the Beth and her family as well.  She is one of those girls that is really chill and fun to hang out with and so is her man.  They are great friends and we are really happy to have gotten the chance to hang out with them.

Family Portrait

This is an artist's depiction of what our family would look like if (or should I say when)we were (or will be) on the American Gladiator show.  Intimidating aren't we?
(if you like what you see and would like to commission the artist, Anne aka "Entice", you can contact her at 1-800-RAD-ICAL)

Teen Girl Squad

Does the rest of the world know about home star runner and especially teen girl squad? This is an often quoted series in my family. Episode 4 is one of my favorite episodes, although all are well worth watching...multiple times. "perhaps a single frito?  Or a Rib-A-Q?"

Silly Boys...

So at the end of April Mark and his friend Josh went on one of their famous weekend surf trips to California where they visit two other Floridian friends from back in the day.  They always surf and goof around and crack each other up, a lot.   They actually took some photos during this trip.  Jeff got a gun recently and took the guys to the shooting range to try it out.  Mark had never been before but took quite a liking to it and we have the shot up silhouette of a man in our garage to prove it.

Above is Mark in macho action and below is Jeff displaying  his new toy...looking the opposite of macho!  However I will happily interject here that Jeff is HILARIOUS and Single!  And he owns a gun?  Feel free to email me ladies.  I would happily set you up.
Then these disturbing little gems below were photos Mark and Josh took for their poor lonesome little wives left at home.  Thanks guys...really made the 48 hours you were gone feel like it was just overnight!
I've said it before and I will say it again....never let photos like these fall into the hands of a blogger.  She is bound by the blogging forces beyond her to post them!
Sorry Ladies!  This one is already spoken for!~ :)

My Day with Bob!

A couple of weeks ago I got to spend the day with my Uncle Bob.  He lives here in Las Vegas with his son (my cousin) and family.  But this Friday all of that family would be away from home and instead of sitting home alone Uncle Bob came to spend the day with me.  I can assure you, the pleasure was ALL mine!  It was a wonderful day.  We were baby-sitting a friend's two boys and Uncle Bob was a huge help with them.  He played blocks with them, taught them how to swing a bat (one of his specialties) and then later he helped Mark, Taj and me plant some flowers in the backyard.  We even spent a while looking through a box of old pictures which he particularly liked.  It was fun to hear his memories from the photos.  He is a wonderful man and I'm so glad he is my uncle.  I love him dearly as I do all my family!  I hit the jackpot in the family department.
A little light yard work!  Thanks for the hand Taj.
He's a handsome fella hu?  Still got it Uncle Bob! :)
Bob with the boys.
Bob with my boy!
Nicholas playing peekaboo with us.  This picture was just too cute to not post it!
Getting a few pointers from an old pro!
Thanks for playing Uncle Bob!  Come again anytime!

Good Old Fashioned Fun...

Nothing like a leisurely afternoon in the park with my fellas.   I know its pretty obvious but Taj is showing you his muscles in that second shot!

Uh-oh

I'm a tad more addicted than I anticipated.  You all better be honest when answering the questions because I know I'm not as bad as some of you....(you know who you are!)

Sorry!  I could not get it post here so I posted it to the left and down a couple of blocks! :)

So we are dog-sitting our good friends Josh and Chelsea's dogs this weekend.  They have been here many times before and we really like these dogs.  They are well behaved, lovable and totally part of the family for Josh and Chelsea.  But yesterday I came home from running errands for a few hours to discover that Scootie escaped from the backyard!  I feel sick about it.  Scootie is smaller and can fit through the side gate, but I had put up the same barricade that has always deterred him before.  However this time he must have been extra restless because somehow he wiggled his way around it.   We all walked around our neighborhood looking and calling for him. Even Taj was saying "Doggie!" and "where are you?"  When Mark got home we drove around for a couple of hours calling, looking and putting up flyers.  The thing is, Scottie is easy to identify...he only has 3 legs!
Ugh!  I have never had a dog, but I feel SICK about this.  We already called Josh and Chelsea to let them know. Ugh Ugh Ugh! I worried all night where he is and who has him.  We are going to call Animal Control this morning and have all the neighborhood kids on patrol.  If you live near me and see a 3-legged dog, please let me know.
Scootie Come Home!!
YEAH!  In the bazillion years it took to upload the picture on this Mark got an email saying someone found him! :)  She responded to our post on Craig's list! We go pick him up as soon as Taj wakes up from his nap!
And they all lived happily ever after...and Josh and Chelsea don't have to disown us as friends!
