Trip to UT over Christmas break 2009

We drove up to UT for the week between Christmas and New Years. We got to visit both my sisters and their family's in Lehi and Highland. We also got to see our friends the Unguren's up in Salt Lake. We had a great time as you can see from our photo journal below.
My bro in law Tim snapped this while we were sledding. Mt. Timpanogos Temple.
Taj was a little scared to sled for his first time but I encouraged (forced) him and he had fun.
Taj's gloves kept falling off and he would play in the snow with bare hands until he got so cold he would cry. Then I would come save the day and let him borrow some heat from my mouth and put his gloves back on. This happened several times.
Taj getting nailed with a snowball.
Who could pass up licking a 3-1/2 ft icicle.
Taj's cousin Jacob posing with his ice javelin.
Taj winding up to snowball the camera man.
Ari's first snow experience.
Angel Moroni is "sooo big"
Taj never passes up the opportunity to say a prayer whenever he see's a podium.
Ari loved the children's section of the Church History Museum.
I love walking through Temple Square when they have all the Christmas lights up. Its kinda like the Disney light parade of for Mormons.
Taco Tim introduced us to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Soo good! Taj peeking a boo under the table.
Ari sampled the pickles at Five guys and she found them exquisite to her taste buds.
Taj riding his first carousel.
What are the chances we would run into a train in the mall? Taj was in heaven.
Taco Tim mad dogging
Pure joy.
How was Taj supposed to know that dumping out an entire box of rice cereal on the floor would make a mess? To be honest we have never told him not to do this so its not really his fault.
"G" is for Gavin.
Wood floors are the best for trains!
Cathy picked up a few items at IKEA.
It was a little crowded for the 6 hour drive home.
But it was worth it.
We didn't have to worry about Taj messing with Ari on the ride home. He couldn't see her much less reach her.
I picked up that Thule rack on KSL while we were up in UT. I am stoked to try it out on our next surf trip.

We sure had a good time with you guys. You're always welcome to come stay with us when you have a little IKEA shopping to do... or even when you don't.
